Alexander Yu

Alexander Yu was born in Texas but has lived all over the USA. He grew up mostly in the Washington DC area and went to college at Johns Hopkins University, where he studied Sociology and Natural Sciences. After graduating from Hopkins in May of '03, he taught English in Japan for 9 months. After returning from Japan, he moved to San Francisco, where he is currently working in a clinical research laboratory.

Alex started drawing editorial cartoons in August '04, and has since been drawing some local editorial cartoons for a small Marin County newspaper. He has been doodling away precious class time and drawing cartoons since the 4th grade. His main aspiration is to draw a strip cartoon in the stylings of his heroes, Calvin and Hobbes' Bill Watterson and Bloom County's Berkeley Breathed.

You can see more of his cartoons on his website: www.almostangelscomic.com
